The Donald W. Reynolds Crisis Intervention Center, formerly the Crisis Center for Women opened its doors to the community on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.  This state of the art facility was made possible by the generous contribution of 2.3 million by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation as well as many donors within the Fort Smith community.



Groundbreaking and clearing started in April 2007.


Our Executive Offices moved in December 2008.


The Shelter and Daycare are scheduled to move in May 2009.

The Crisis Intervention Center (CIC) has a long history of providing crisis intervention and support services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  Last year, the CIC assisted morethan 8,505 vicitms in its six-county area.  The new facility offers an advanced security system and encompasses the administrative services, direct services and shelter for up to 32 persons at one time, a child service center with a licensed day care, rape response center and a training area.

The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation is a national philanthropic organization founded in 1954 by the late media entrepreneur for whom it is named.  Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, it is one of the largest private foundations in the United States.
